Quick Tip

Apple Watch owners:  when you have your watch on, it becomes the “primary” source for notifications.  It will use the same notification sound for all text messages even if you have a specific one set for a contact/number.  If you take your watch off, you notice the alert tone now comes from your iPhone, not the watch.  ⌚️📱

So if you wondered about this, it’s how it’s supposed to function.  If you have more than one Apple device paired to the same Apple ID, they will auto-set the order (Apple refers to this as hierarchy) as to which device will respond.
