3 Easy Tips Using Siri

Hey Siri, Turn On the Flashlight! Yes, you can have Siri turn on or off your flashlight on your iPhone.  One of the most recent things I’ve found that Siri can do for me.  Siri has gotten faster and more fun to use. You can use even more complex statements like, text mom I’ll be over around 9 tonight.  Or call mom on speaker! You can use Siri to set alarms, appointments, even reminders, “remind me to get gas when I leave work”.  How cool is that?  Here’s a previous post on using location based reminders you might like as … Continue reading 3 Easy Tips Using Siri

New in iOS 12-Measure App

If you’ve ever needed a measurement of something, now you have it in your hand! In iOS 12, a new Measure app is ready and waiting for you to start measuring. How to Measure First, let me clarify this is not an exact measurement you would use to measure and cut something.  Unless you’re looking for an “approximate” fit. 😂  However, you could use this to see if a new table will fit in an area in your home.  You could even use it to measure the kids and have a fun way to show them how they have grown! … Continue reading New in iOS 12-Measure App

Best Tip Using Alarm Clock

Do you use Apple’s “Clock” app on your phone as your alarm clock?  Seems like the majority use the Alarm clock function most every day.  More importantly, do you use the snooze function? Snooze or Not to Snooze? Snooze on Apple’s “Clock” app is set to go off every 9 minutes.  I don’t use the snooze feature in the morning often.  If I need a little more time before getting up, I just set another alarm based on the current time and where I have to be in that morning. Maybe it’s a control issue? 😂 Alarm Settings The first … Continue reading Best Tip Using Alarm Clock

Apple New Event

Apple’s new event is October 30th at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House.  Makes me wonder what the connection is between new products they are expected to announce and the venue they are holding the event.  🤔 Here’s what’s been going around the rumor mills on what to expect at the next event.  New iPad Pro, new MacBook Air, and a new Mac Mini.  I’m not too familiar with the MacBook as I use an iPad Pro.  But if you’re looking for a new device, maybe a Christmas or Birthday gift, check out iMore’s link for … Continue reading Apple New Event
