Old Update Pulled In October, Apple pulled the 5.1 update because it was “bricking” watches. Bricking means your watch (can actually happen to any device) just stops working in the process of updating. It’s something only the Apple Store can resolve for you, which usually means they replace the device. Here’s the previous post on the 5.1 update Do Not Update Apple Watch New Update Available The new 5.1.1 update is ready and I updated last week! If you’ve ever needed a measurement of something, now you have it in your hand! In iOS 12, a new Measure app is ready and waiting for you to start measuring. Do you use Apple’s “Clock” app on your phone as your alarm clock? Seems like the majority use the Alarm clock function most every day. More importantly, do you use the snooze function? Snooze or Not to Snooze? Snooze on Apple’s “Clock” app is set to go off every 9 minutes. I don’t use the snooze feature in the morning often. If I need a little more time before getting up, I just set another alarm based on the current time and where I have to be in that morning. Maybe it’s a control issue? 😂 Alarm Settings The first … Continue reading Best Tip Using Alarm Clock

This is not new to iOS 12. It’s been there, but I just learned about it a couple weeks ago from a podcast I listen to about Apple devices. First things first, the information on your device is encrypted and can’t be read by Apple. It is stored only on your device. I’m sure there are many who won’t believe this to be true and there won’t be anything said here to try and convince you one way or the other. If your location services is turned off, you should not have any history. How to Find Where You’ve Been … Continue reading Where Have You Been?

Wow! I was only able to watch the Apple Watch 4 presentation and I fell in love with the watch all over again! The addition of Fall detection and ability to record an EKG was way more than I expected. Plus the watch function is FDA approved! That’s a huge accomplishment for Apple. Lots of rumors going around and “leaks” of what’s coming from Apple tomorrow. My excitement is getting the best of me! 📱👩🏻💻⌚️🖥💻 However, I’ve learned not to believe it until I see it. If you would like to listen to the event, there are multiple ways. If you are on Twitter, search for Apple’s verified account and they will post a link there for you to click that you “like” the tweet and they’ll send you a link. Typically so many people are logging in, I usually have a couple alternatives. You can do a Google search, how to watch … Continue reading Tomorrow is the Day!
